🔬 Project Overview: TURNING VIOLENT
This research project aims to identify the turning points that lead to one-sided violence in interpersonal conflicts. It will use publicly available video data, video elicitation interviews, and qualitative multimodal analysis to better understand violent dynamics. The research is grounded in ethnomethodology, conversation analysis, and will contribute to evidence-based violence prevention policies.
📌 Role and Responsibilities
As a PhD candidate, you will:
- Build and analyse a high-quality dataset using video-based ethnographic methods.
- Conduct interviews and video elicitations with violence experts, including police trainers.
- Present at conferences and publish in academic journals.
- Contribute to the Violence & Violence Prevention Group and teach in related minors and master’s tracks.
