Understanding Asia’s Role in Platform and AI Society
Over the past decade, Asia has rapidly emerged as a central force in the global digital revolution. The region’s widespread integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital platforms has significantly influenced its economic, political, and cultural landscapes. From platform labor and influencer economies to AI governance and generative media, Asia’s digital transformation is more than adoption—it’s innovation and leadership.
To delve deeper into these transformations, Deakin University (Australia), in collaboration with Communication University of China and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society (RMIT), announces the International Conference on Platform and AI Society in Asia, scheduled for 24–25 November 2025 at Deakin University, Melbourne.
Who Is Behind the Conference?
This interdisciplinary conference is supported by several leading global institutions including:
